#ASKFORHELP
There is an average of more than 130 young people lost to suicide every week. This leading cause of death in our nation can be prevented. The lives of many young people can be saved by helping our communities become educated to help aid in suicide prevention. The Jason Foundation aims to establish a Triangle of Prevention by providing students, parents and teachers the tools and resources to help identify and help at-risk youth.
The more familiar our communities are about suicide facts and statistics, warning signs that are associated with suicide, and resources and programs that can help at-risk youth, the more lives that can be saved from this tragedy.
Remember that suicide is preventable. Never hesitate to become involved; always take desire/intent to harm very seriously. If suicidal ideation is suspected in a young person, please guide them to professional help immediately.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
